Visit KFC to Help Provide a New Beginning for Children in Crisis
Toledo, Ohio — 1/29/2014 — My Stuff Bags Foundation  today announced a 2014 partnership with nine KFC restaurants in the Toledo area. Â
Customers are invited to stop by any participating KFC restaurant to purchase a “My Stuff Bags Foundation Awareness Bracelet†that will entitle them to great discounts each time they visit a participating KFC throughout 2014. A portion of the proceeds from each bracelet sold will help the My Stuff Bags Foundation provide duffels of new belongings to some of the most vulnerable children in the Toledo area. “We are so grateful to these KFC restaurants for their compassion for children who enter foster care with nothing of their own†said Janeen Holmes, president and CEO of My Stuff Bags, “and it’s a great deal for the customers too!â€
ABOUT MY STUFF BAGS FOUNDATION — Since 1998, the My Stuff Bags Foundation has been addressing the needs of children in Ohio and nationwide who must leave everything behind when they are rescued from abuse, neglect or abandonment.
My Stuff Bags are bright blue individual duffels filled with brand new, age- and gender-appropriate toys, books, a stuffed animal, school supplies, clothing, personal toiletries, and a warm, often hand-made “security†blanket – all theirs to keep.  Packed with items they desperately need as they adjust to their new surroundings, My Stuff Bags provide things to do and to hold during this difficult time.
Each year in America,  over 300,000 children enter foster care and often they have little more than the clothes on their backs. My Stuff Bags has a nationwide-network of partnerships with child advocacy organizations which help get the bags into the hands of children who need them.  The Foundation has provided over 450,000 My Stuff Bags to children in over 1,500 agencies in 49 states.
