My Stuff Bags Foundation to Host 4^th Annual “Best Stuff Celebration”

Saturday, September 29^th, 6PM, Leonis Adobe Museum Rancho

Evening of food, fun, crazy games, contests to help children entering shelters

            (Los Angeles) – – The My Stuff Bags Foundation will hold its 4^th Annual “Best Stuff Celebration” on Saturday, September 29^th, 6:00 to 10:00 PM.  Planned as an adult evening of gourmet food and wine tasting, fun, silly contests and crazy games, the proceeds from the event will provide duffel bags filled with new belongings for abused and neglected children entering shelters with nothing of their own. Local wineries will serve gourmet tastings. Entertainment and games will take place on the beautiful grounds of host Leonis Adobe Museum Rancho, 23537 Calabasas Road, Calabasas.

“Imagine the trauma of a child being separated from all you know, including parents, possessions, and home,” explains Janeen Holmes, President & CEO of My Stuff Bags Foundation. “Each year, thousands of children must be rescued from severe abuse, neglect or abandonment. Traumatized and facing an uncertain future, they often enter shelters and foster care with nothing – no favorite stuffed animal or special blanket. That’s where we come in, supplying individual My Stuff duffle bags filled with much-needed new belongings such as toys, toiletries, school supplies, clothing, a stuffed animal and a blanket, often handmade.”

The “Best Stuff Celebration” event will be an adult evening filled with a variety of fun and crazy games and prizes, and silent and live auctions. Local restaurants will serve gourmet food tastings representing various cuisines ranging from gourmet delicacies to upscale American classics. Drinks will include tastings from several local vineyards and breweries, as well as other special beverages.

The dinner, entertainment and games will take place on the beautiful grounds of host Leonis Adobe Museum Rancho, 23537 Calabasas Road, Calabasas.

The Grand Raffle Prize is an eight-day “Rhine Getaway” Cruise from Amsterdam to Basel for two people, provided by Viking River Cruises.
