Dear Ms. Neill:
I just had to write a letter to thank you and your foundation for the wonderful, wonderful bags you sent to us so that we can share them with our foster children. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your continuing support as we care for these special youngsters.
Many of the children that we serve come to us with very few belongings or nothing at all. Many of them are removed from a situation without time to collect the items that are precious to them. They may have left behind a favorite blanket or teddy bear. Others, who were able to gather a few items of their own, carry them in grocery bags or garbage bags because they rarely have luggage or tote bags. Thanks to you, they will now be able to carry their belonging with the dignity they deserve!
That is why your bags are so special to us. These bags give them the ability to go into their new foster home with their own toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, crayons, toys and a special blanket and stuffed animal of their own. Your bags contain many necessary hygiene items, but also special childhood security items which they will keep close to their heart. You can tell that the bags are packed with love and care and they contain so many special objects.
Thank you once again for your contribution and we look forward to working with you again in the future to continue to improve the lives of these special children.
Sincerely,
Gail Cole
